In Photography, a Still Life is a planned and curated arrangement of 2 or more items. This composition tells a story to the viewer about the photographer. Please NO BRAND NAMES. Look at your families mantel or area they have trinkets set up. Look at your own personal collections of items you could use to make a Still Life. You will need to create or find 5 Still Life(s). You will need to be able to rearrange the still life as well because you will take 5 photos of each Still Life.

Still life photography is a genre of photography used for the depiction of inanimate subject
matter, typically a small group of objects. It is the application of
photography to the still life artistic style. An example
is food photography. This
genre gives the photographer more leeway in the arrangement of design elements
within a composition compared
to other photographic genres, such as landscape or portrait photography. Lighting, framing and background are
important aspects of still life photography composition.
A still life can be a lot of fun. Choose items you love, ones that represent a celebration or do a color theme. It is up to you. You decide. Remember that the Still Life needs to be a reflection of you so make sure that there is story and that the composition is WELL BALANCED and COMPOSED.
